Twenty-five years ago this October, St. Andrew’s Club opened their purpose built conference centre in downtown Toronto. From the beginning, the conference centre has expanded many times with new meeting rooms and services. Over 40,000 people now attend meetings, conferences and receptions annually in the venue located in prime space of the Sun Life Tower at University and King in the heart of downtown Toronto.

“I don’t know how it all came together back then. There was no internet, let alone SEO. We didn’t have a fax machine for the first few years. Smoking in the workplace was becoming an issue, but we banned smoking in the meeting rooms which some people had difficulty with”, reflects Stephen Hodd, founder of St. Andrew’s Club and Conference Centre.

St. Andrew’s Club was created and designed by founder Stephen Hodd when he noticed a need for quality meeting space downtown. Stephen and the rest of the staff at the conference centre will celebrate this milestone with a focus on the core principles that make St. Andrew’s Club such a success, as well as the forward-thinking innovations that have allowed them to continue to lead in quality of space and customer satisfaction.
