Be Afraid? S&P 500 Closes at Record High But…

Stocks edged higher today--and the S&P 500 closed at a new record high--as all major indexes continued to build on their recent strength . The S&P 500 rose 0.6% this week after gaining 0.5% to 2,175.03 today, a new record high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average , meanwhile, advanced 0.3% this week after rising 53.62 points, or 0.3%, to 18,570.85, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.4% this week after advancing 0.5% to 5,100.16 today.
