State Bank of Patiala donates Rs.2.36 crores to Chennai Rain Victims

Today on behalf of the employees of State Bank of Patiala, Shri S. A. Ramesh Rangan, Managing Director of the Bank along with GM (RNW-Delhi) Shri. M V Krishna today handed over a cheque for Rs. 2.36 Crores towards their contribution to the Prime Minister’s  Relief Fund, for helping the victims of recent catastrophe due to torrential rains at Chennai and other national priorities. The donation is manifestation of 15,000 employees who donated their one day’s salary to help the affected persons. Earlier Bank has also donated Rs. 50.00 lac to Chief Minister Relief Fund Tamilnadu, as a part of Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility. The Bank recently felicitated the National Bravery Award Winners as part of Republic Day celebrations and also donated Ambulances to Red Cross and Blind School towards Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.  The donation to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund was accepted by the Finance Minister, Shri Arun Jaitley who lauded the efforts of the bank in coming forward and thanked the bank for standing up with the Government of India at times of such need.
