PIPERSVILLE, Pa. - Feb. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Innovative Environmental Technologies, Inc. (IET) is pleased to announce the purchase of our new Southeast operations center located in Columbus, Georgia.  The new 15,000 square fool facility will allow IET to provide state-of-the art in situ injection services and environmental drilling services to Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana.

According to Michael Scalzi, President of IET, “The purchase of 'Class A' facilities allows us to customize our offices to best suit our customers’ needs while demonstrating our commitment to providing state-of-the-art remedial services to the environmental industry.  The more than 10,000 square feet of warehouse space in the Columbus, GA location will provide for the storage of remedial materials and equipment, allowing IET to respond to our customers quickly with drilling and injection services.  The 5,000 square feet of offices and support areas will allow IET to continue our growth in the southeast.”

Formed in 1998 as the first in-situ injection contractor in the United States, IET has designed and implemented over 1,500 projects across the United States and Canada.  By developing and applying unique remedial solutions IET has established itself as the leader in remedial solutions for chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, pesticide and heavy metal impacted sites.  IET holds 9 United States patents with another 5 pending patents, focused on unique chemistry and biochemistry for in situ remedial processes.  Included in the IET patent library is the ‘709‘ patent which specifically names the addition of organic hydrogen donor and zero valent iron for the remediation of chlorinated solvents; the ‘699’ patent which offers clients the opportunity to minimize methane production at reductive dechlorination sites and the ‘245’ patent which utilizes persulfate based chemical oxidation in conjunction with biological mineralization for enhanced treatment of petroleum hydrocarbons.
