Community First Credit Union Joins 2015 Community Nutcracker Ballet as Principal Sponsor

The Community Nutcracker is honored to announce Community First Credit Union, one of Florida’s largest credit unions with headquarters in Jacksonville, as the 2015 Principal Sponsor for The Nutcracker Ballet.
PRLog - Aug. 6, 2015 - JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Community Nutcracker will present its 24th annual production this holiday season from Thursday, December 10 through Saturday, December 12 at the Florida Theatre.

Since 1992, The Community Nutcracker has been delighting audiences of all ages with its production. Through its performances more than $475,000 has been raised for local charities to strengthen the community. The Community Nutcracker has worked directly with Dreams Come True since 2005 and has assisted in bringing joy and comfort to more than 30 children battling life-threatening illnesses.

“The Community Nutcracker and Dreams Come True are such important efforts,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president of Community First. “We’re proud to help continue the tradition of this treasured local performance that supports the dreams of performers as well as those in need.”

Auditions for the production will be held Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12 at Jacksonville University. Interested dancers and performers must register online at http://jaxnutcracker.org/2015-registration/ starting August 14.

In addition to the ticketed performances The Community Nutcracker will once again host its Community Service Night through providing 2,000 free tickets to various agencies and organizations. More than 4,000 students from area schools will also be provided the opportunity to see the performance during one of two school performances sponsored by St. Vincent HealthCare.

The Community Nutcracker is an all-volunteer, 501 (c)3 charitable organization committed to supporting and maintaining the highest quality of artistic vision using local community talent and providing a beautiful holiday tradition for the city of Jacksonville. The Community Nutcracker relies heavily on the support of the community in its efforts to improve The Nutcracker Ballet each year. It is the combined effort of mothers, fathers, students, family and friends who dedicate their time and talents that make the performances successful.
