Futurepace Tech Stainless Steel And Glastonbury Advocate Reusable Water Bottles

Futurepace Tech Stainless Steel, a local company based in London has thrown their support behind local events to promote environmental awareness and contribute to reduction of plastics. "To be able to team up with more events that create a buzz to spread environmental awareness is a definite goal of the company," says a veteran supervisor from Futurepace Tech. "From Glastonbury to Leeds, we're seeing a lot of changes happening, as a lot of festival organizers are showing their support for reusable water bottles."

Futurepace Tech's mission is to reduce plastic consumption at all costs through its range of stainless steel products (click here for more information), and it's already starting with the help of events and festivals that draw huge crowds.

The Glastonbury Festival, always one of the UK's most anticipated concert events, once again spread environmental awareness among festival goers. On June 24th, 2015, Glastonbury opened its doors to thousands of music lovers from all over the world, as well as supported a great cause through the reduction of plastic water bottles by implementing reusable water containers.

Waste management has been a constant environmental concern for festival organizers, and for an event this massive, it can be quite challenging. To solve this, the Glastonbury Festival expressed its intent to minimize the use of plastic bottles during the festival and began its advocacy for reusable water bottles, encouraging festival goers to bring their own reusable water bottle to cut down on plastic consumption. The festival's environmental advocacy started last year, and organizers brought it back this year. The support has been phenomenal, as plastic water bottles disposed dwindled in amount last year. Futurepace Tech shares the Glastonbury Festival's hopes to continue this trend going to reduce the impact of the festival on the environment.

This year, thousands of reusable water bottles were sold to Glastonbury ticket holders. During the festival, water kiosks were stationed to refill thousands of reusable water bottles for free, minimizing plastic disposal concerns. What people are saying so far has been filled with praise. "It's unbelievable," a 2014 Glastonbury festival goer shared, "to see people dancing to fabulous bands while drinking water from a reusable bottle. It's all for a good cause, plus I'm surrounded with so much good music that I adore and the best performers. I'm up for it; I'm not complaining, hell, every festival should be doing the same thing!"

The first step may be as small as trading a plastic water bottle for a reusable, stainless steel water bottle, but for Futurepace Tech, it goes a long, long way. The Glastonbury Festival has set a great example, in hopes that many will soon follow suit.
