Unity Connected Solutions comments on attendance at this year’s Together We Care Trade Show and Convention and the awareness the company brought to Status Solutions’ SARA.

Unity Connected Solutions attended the 2015 Together We Care event, which recently ran from March 31 to April 1. The convention serves as a means for those in the long-term care and retirement home industries to connect and learn. “This was actually a unique opportunity to present our communications and situational awareness solutions to this market, of which we hoped to take full advantage,” says Randy Bergeron, president of Unity Connected Solutions. “This convention is centred on assisted living and long-term care facilities, so it was an excellent place to showcase our organization’s solutions.”
Together We Care is hosted by the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) and Ontario Retirement Community Association (ORCA). Both groups share a vision to be leaders in their respective fields and to advocate for their members. The OLTCA and the ORCA represent more than 90% of the long-term care homes and retirement homes in the province, respectively.
“Unity Connected Solutions was present at the convention with a booth to promote our communication services, including Status Solutions’ SARA, or Situational Awareness and Response Assistant,” Bergeron explains. Status Solutions’ SARA is a communications solution that we provide for the healthcare industry. The solution’s main function is to provide real-time information to the right people and to the right device in situations in which there is a threat to people or property, particularly in emergencies. We offer Status Solutions’ SARA for education markets as well.”
Bergeron adds that Unity Connected Solutions partnered with Status Solutions and Avaya during this convention. The company also gave away an Apple iPad Mini as part of a promotion for those who visited the Unity Connected Solutions booth during the show.
“The number of industry leaders that were present at this convention had already made our attendance worth it,” Bergeron concludes. “It was then up to us to show these leaders how we can integrate our unified communications solutions and Status Solutions’ SARA with their facilities and not only add value to their organizations, but potentially help save lives. I think it’s safe to say we succeeded in this task.”
