New Staff Members Join The Lubbock Lighthouse Treatment Team

Lubbock, Texas  May 18, 2015– Two new members of staff have joined the Lubbock Lighthouse Methadone and Subutex Program, which provides high quality methadone and subutex treatment services in West Texas to help people with problems of opiate and other substance abuse.

The new additions to the team are Nigel Torres, LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor), and Dwight Lindley, LCDC. Mr. Torres’ seventeen years’ experience includes inpatient treatment, mental health services, methadone treatment, HIV prevention services, screening and assessment, therapeutic treatment centers. Mr. Lindley began methadone counseling twelve years ago and also offers volunteer Twelve-Step meetings at local recovery centers and at the Lubbock County Jail. 

The new team members join Cindy Henson, LCDC, who has five years at Lubbock Lighthouse and who previously was for twelve years the co-owner of Shades of Hope Treatment Center for Eating Disorders. Other members of the Lubbock Lighthouse staff include the Medical Director, Thomas Gore, a board certified psychiatrist with more than forty years’ experience treating veterans and persons with mental illness or chemical dependency issues, Pete Ramos, the Program Sponsor who also is a Board Member and Human Resources Director, Tina Johnson, LVN, the dispensing nurse who also teaches at a local community college, Paul DiGiacomo, a counselor intern, and Cissy Ramos who manages the support desk and greets the clients daily. 

Terry McEldowney, Program Director of Lubbock Lighthouse began his work in the treatment field as a methadone counselor in 1974.
