Chef Gorji, chef/owner of Dallas’ acclaimed Canary by Gorji restaurant and Gorji Gourmet Foods® took top honors in blind judging at ZestFest 2015. Held January 23-25, 2015 in Irving, TX, it is one of the largest events in the country that showcases the zestiest products on the market.

The newly-launched spicy Gorji Gourmet Foods Arrabiata Diavolo took first place in the blind judging Pasta Cookoff and second place in the 2015 Best New Product Cookoff at the 2015 ZestFest Fiery Food Challenge competing against products from all around the country. Joining the Arrabiata Diavolo at the winners’ table in second place was Chef’s Puttanesca sauce, and third place was awarded to his simple and delicious Pomodoro sauce. The three sauces are part of a five product line that also includes a pomegranate vinaigrette and a dipping oil/marinade.

The honors keep coming for the affable chef. He is back-to-back champion of the famed Hico Texas Steak Cookoff.
