PRLog - Jan. 26, 2015 - The Los Angeles Times’ recent article “Fewer law school graduates pass bar in California” said, “For the first time in nearly a decade, most law school graduates who took the summer California bar exam failed.” With more than 50% not passing on the first try according to the Los Angeles Times local California bar exam one-on-one tutors at BarWinners are providing much needed support and instruction for “repeaters” who don’t want to fail again, and for first time takers who want to pass the first time on how to pass the California Bar Exam. With intensives and online courses, one-on-one- tutoring, as well as attorney exam preparation, many students say that BarWinners offered the assistance they needed in order to pass.
The company began more than 20 years ago by attorney Shari Karney, famous for her leadership in passing SB 108, the “delayed discovery” act for incest survivors. With those statistics in mind, Loyola Law School, always a pioneer in its vision, offered an innovative 1-unit intersession Course, California Bar Exam Writing Skills & Practicum Course, with Adjunct Professor Shari Karney and the Director of Academic Success and Bar Programs, at Loyola Law School, Clinical Professor, Anne Wells, Esq. This was a heavily attended Bar Exam Essay Writing Skills and Practicum. The Course was a resounding success with Loyola Law students, both first-time CA Bar Exam takers and “repeaters” learning how to apply and write a passing California bar exam essay. Students were shown how to study, memorize, outline and write a passing California Bar Exam essay. The Course was focused on application of the law to actual bar exam essays. Students wrote an essay a day, and two essays for their final exam, with feedback, and quality bar like grading provided by BarWinners.
“I had taken the exam twice before, and pretty much lost hope of ever passing,” says Tiffany M., a recent student who successfully passed on her third try. “I had heard about Shari Karney from law school, so I enrolled in Bar Winners. It was the prep I needed to pass-and it took away so much stress, too. I recommend the course to all my friends as an essential part of the process.
