PRLog - Nov. 14, 2014 - FENTON, Mich. -- If you have been driving down Owen Rd. in Fenton, Michigan the past few months, you may have noticed the massive Ford service department being built at 2525 Owen Rd., the address for Lasco Ford. This major $5 million plus dollar project will take Lasco Ford to all new capabilities and put them on the list of one of the largest Ford dealerships in Michigan as well as the nation.
The project was approved by the City of Fenton back in the spring of 2014 and includes two phases of a build out. It also was led by a major parking lot expansion that took place over the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Phase one is a all new from the ground up state of the art service department that has over 25 service bays, all new alignment and tire technology, massive customer lounge with multiple TVs, kids play area, office working space, customer friendly private write-up areas, and more. Jay Lasco from Lasco Ford said, "this facility will offer the best customer experience available in the area and allows the customer a quite comfortable experience while having their vehicle serviced." Lasco also mentioned that they will offer free alignment checks and free car washes to all customers, even if they are just visiting for an oil change.
Phase two of the project is a major undertaking that transforms the existing 20,000+ square foot building into all office and showroom space. The appearance will led by Ford Motor Company's Trustmark design and include multiple waiting lounges, comfortable and private customer consultation desks, TV's throughout the showroom, kids play area, state of the art restroom facilities, and a 6 plus car indoor showroom. But, that is not all, Lasco said, "One major feature of our new sales area is a heated and cooled dual drive thru delivery lane that will allow customers an experience like no other upon taking delivery of the new vehicle." The delivery lane will be transformed from the old service drive-thru that was attached to the building and will include a spacious area for up to six cars. Lasco said, "We will offer technology training, vehicle overview and personal setup, and much more. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction, and we believe this this facility is an important factor to accomplish our goal."
The grand opening of phase one, the new service department should be in December of this year and they will immediately start phase two of the showroom. If there are not major delays in the work Lasco expects the sales area to be completed no later than September of 2015.
