Harold Matzner continues his charitable endeavors with 3rd annual Family Fun Day from McCallum Theatre
PRLog - Oct. 31, 2014 - PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- Harold Matzner was one of the directing sponsors for the McCallum Theatre’s third annual Family Fun Day. Through Matzner’s contributions, the theatre was able to put smiles on hundreds of children's faces through a variety of family-friendly activities. Children were entertained by face painting, craft projects, and even a few of their favorite animated characters including Spiderman and Elsa from Frozen. At 2:30pm it was showtime! Children were dazzled by the physical comedies and circus arts of Aga-Boom. “Oohs” and “awws” filled the room as the performers fell, jumped, and wiggled into the hearts of the audience.
The day wasn’t just all fun and play, it was also a charitable affair. Proceeds from the event benefitted the learning and community outreach programs of the McCallum Theatre Institute. Over the past 17 years, the educational division of McCallum Theatre has served over 362,500 students. Their mission is simple: encourage and promote the arts to enhance human creativity and enlightenment. Matzner is a prominent patron of the theatre and institute; his and other donations help to sustain the success of the program.
The vigorous efforts of Matzner allow organizations such as McCallum to flourish. As a philanthropist, he also contributes to charities that support humanitarian endeavors, animal rescues, and recovery centers. His business savviness has positioned him as an esteemed entrepreneur in the Palm Springs community of California and was honored as “Business Person of The Year” in 2012 by the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce.
