Available now at New England Honda Dealers, the new 2015 CR-V features advanced safety features and a more fuel efficient engine.
PRLog - Oct. 22, 2014 - BOSTON -- New England Honda Dealers are proud to announce that the latest version of Honda's famous crossover—the CR-V—has been named the Sport/Utility Vehicle of 2015 by Motor Trend. Considering that the CR-V was the vehicle that kicked off the crossover class, it comes as little surprise to find it still leading the charge as one of the most practical, well-equipped, and affordable of available crossovers and SUVs.

Thanks to a long list of advancements, the CR-V has taken home yet another trophy. This vehicle marks the debut of the new Honda Sensing safety technology, designed to give drivers what amounts to an extra set of eyes on the road, helping to mitigate and even prevent an accident.

"The 2015 Honda CR-V impressed our judges with its extensive list of delightful design and thoughtful engineering improvements. Our editors were especially impressed by Honda's responsive and efficient continuously-variable transmission and sophisticated safety systems – particularly the smart and seamlessly integrated Lane Keeping Assist system. Efficient, practical, and a joy to drive; the 2015 Honda CR-V does virtually everything well," said Motor Trend editor-in-chief Ed Loh.

Jeff Conrad, SVP & General Manager of Honda Division, American Honda Motor Co, Inc. responded, saying it's "an honor to receive such a prestigious award from the expert staff at Motor Trend."

In order to judge the vehicles up for the award, the editorial staff at Motor Trend evaluated the vehicles on the following criteria:

·       Design Advancement

·       Engineering Excellence

·       Performance of Intended Function

·       Efficiency

·       Safety

·       Value

And the CR-V came out on top. Priced at just $23,320 (MSRP) and sporting Honda's Earth Dreams engine capable of 185 hp and an incredible EPA-estimated 34 highway mpg, it's hard to imagine how a vehicle could compete with it.
