The 6th Worlddidac India Exhibition & Conference – A Grand Success

The Annual Exhibition ‘WORLDDIDAC INDIA’ and conference ‘Asian summit on Education and Skills’ was held from 10th to 12th  September 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. 

Despite heavy rains during the opening of the event, thousands of educators and stakeholders flocked into the exhibition from day one itself.

The event was partnered by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India and supported by India Didactics Association, Worlddidac Association (Switzerland), British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA – UK), DIDACTA (Germany) which are the largest association in this segment in their respective countries.

The event was a global showcase of products & solutions that brought together the largest education and training fraternity on a single common platform thus creating synergies for further progress of the sector. Like every year, the focus were on all levels of education from Primary level to Vocational Training and aims at addressing the current needs of the Indian education & training sector and thus facilitate in channelizing the reforms.

The event addressed various relevant topics like quality in education, importance of investing in technology and infrastructure, teachers training, teaching-learning resources, comprehensive curriculum, VET, academic & administrative governance structure & practices and optimal use of ICT for the same.

The exhibition witnessed the presence of prominent Exhibitors from India and more than 15 countries to showcase latest & innovative education & training solutions, latest methodology, technology, contemporary educational advances & services that aid learning, teaching & skill improvement.

WORLDDIDAC INDIA 2014 proved to be the best platform for visitors, to update their global overview of education, training trends and products, to implement new concepts and enhance the educational standards and practices, to view latest & innovative technology, modern instruments, supplies & training solutions, inventive materials, latest methodology, contemporary educational advances & services that aid and fuel learning, teaching & skill improvement, to see, evaluate and purchase a comprehensive range of educational and training products and services, and network across the continents with educators and those from the educational supply industry, among other things.

Concurrently with the exhibition, the much-awaited invitee-based annual conference, the Asian Summit on Education & Skills (ASES) 2014 took place, bringing together influential leaders and decision makers from across India and Asia, creating an unparalleled platform for exchange of dialogues on education & skill policy and implementation practices.

The summit was aimed to discuss and deliberate on “Raising Quality; and Technology’s Support for Learning”. The summit brought together Asian Education Ministers and Deputy Ministers, State Education Ministers, as well as senior policy makers and eminent educationists across India and other Asian countries, on the same platform to share best practices, Trends in Teaching and Learning, Building Leadership Through Effecting Policy Implementation and Bridging Barriers Through Industry-Academia Interface in a broader Under standing of needs and Implementation of Inclusive Education.

The leadership conference of the India Didactics Association was partnered by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India and the Education World Forum, London and supported by the British Council and British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA). Its Industry partners included HP, Microsoft and Promethean.

Furthermore, the winners of the second edition of the IDA Awards were announced and felicitated on 11 September at the IDA Awards Ceremony and Dinner Night, receiving huge recognition among all the attendees and who’s who of the Education & training Industry. The awards have been an initiative to help improve the Education and Training System by facilitating communication and sharing of best practices within and among organisations. The awards achieved its objective in celebrating and rewarding products and services that demonstrate excellence in Innovation, Implementation, Impact, Sustainability and Scalability in the field of education & training.

This year, there was also a special IDA Showcase Pavilion promoting micro, small and medium enteprises. Additionally, fifteen workshop sessions were conducted simultaneously over a period of three days at IDA Connect Workshop Arenas, with the objective of empowering educators on various advancements in the education & training sector. The workshops sessions were attended by over 2000 principals and head of educational institutions as well as teachers and professors over a period of three days.

The event encouraged and pormoted social-media conversations through the hashtags #WorlddidacIndia, #DIdacIndia, #ASES2014, #IDAAwards and #IDAConnect, which created a buzz from exhibitors and visitors alike.

As anticipated, the Worlddidac India 2014 attracted the largest gamut of educators, policy makers, distributors and agents from this region once again.
