Hugh Gallagher Joins First Annapolis Consulting

First Annapolis Consulting, Inc. is pleased to announce that Hugh Gallagher has joined the firm as a Principal, focusing on mobile/alternative payments, innovation, and payments strategy. Hugh brings 25 years of experience in payments and financial services including prior senior executive roles with First Manhattan Consulting Group, SunTrust Banks [NYSE: STI], Edgar, Dunn & Company, and eFunds Corporation, which is now part of Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. [NYSE: FIS].

As Executive Vice President of SunTrust, Hugh led the Deposits, Cards and Loyalty, and Payments Strategy teams and managed a $3 billion P&L. During his tenure, the bank successfully reversed years of market share declines, and was named by Online Banking Report to the Top 10 Innovators list for its work in alternative payments. Hugh’s prior industry experience also includes leadership of the payments business for eFunds, which provided software and SaaS payments solutions to banks, non-bank financial services providers, government agencies, and retailers, and developed one of the earliest surcharge-free ATM networks.

Hugh graduated with his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
