PRLog - Jul. 24, 2014 - Stephen David Brooks' short film BINKY gets an Oscar qualifying run at the Laemmle's NoHo 7 theaters in North Hollywood California August 1-3. Exact screening times and tickets will be available on July 29th.

BINKY stars Billy 'Sly' Williams and Lucy Jenner. David R. Hardberger was the cinematographer. Brittany Mayti served as co-producer and post sound was handled by Tamara Johnson.
BINKY will also participate in the Shorts Corner at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival from May 14-25.
Stephen David Brooks' debut feature HEADS N TAILZ won the Fusion Audience Award at the 2005 Dances With Films festival. He is currently in post-production on his second feature FLYTRAP. The teaser for FLYTRAP can be found here:

Stephen has had a varied career, having started as a Visual Effects Supervisor under the tutelage of two- time Academy Award Winner John Dykstra. Stephen then became a screenwriter having adapted the Stephen King short story THE MANGLER into a feature film for director Tobe Hooper and Producer Anant Singh. THE MANGLER was released by New Line Cinema in 1995.
