MICHAEL A. LIBERTY, THE LIBERTY FAMILY FOUNDATION AND MOZIDO, INC. NAMED PRESENTING SPONSORS FOR SEAL–NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE FAMILY FOUNDATION’S MAY 3 LOS ANGELES FUNDRAISING EVENT

Announces new initiative to raise $10 million for Special Operations Forces and their families

The SEAL-Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Family Foundation has announced that Michael A. Liberty, The Liberty Family Foundation and Mozido, Inc. have been named the Presenting Sponsors for the Foundation’s May 3 Los Angeles fundraising event at the Jonathan Beach Club in Santa Monica, CA. The SEAL-NSW Family Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds for special programs in direct support of the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) families on a local, national and global scale.

Michael A. Liberty, who has a distinguished career with 30 years of success in a wide variety of industries, will announce an initiative at the May 3 SEAL-NSW Family Foundation event designed to raise $10 million to integrate, align and coordinate Benevolent Support for all Special Operations Forces (SOF) warriors and their families. The goal of the Initiative is to raise funds to align Benevolent Activities and to help coordinate these activities on behalf of all SOF warriors and their families to ensure they receive the support they need.

“The Special Operations Forces Community, which does so much for our country, deserves a great deal of respect and support. SOF warriors are increasingly called upon to serve when our nation needs them most,” said Liberty. “With this increased role and reliance, there is additional stress on SOF families who must maintain a sense of normalcy on the home front while their husbands, wives, sons and daughters are asked to do extraordinary things to protect our country. We are hopeful that this initiative will help provide SOF families with some additional funding and support.”

The May 3 event, “An Evening to Support the NSW Warriors and Their Families,” will be held at the spectacular Jonathan Beach Club, steps away from the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica. The event will be A Night to Remember, Even by Hollywood Standards — bringing together an exciting array of glamorous guests, sensational food and entertainment and extraordinary speakers lineup led by Keynote Speaker General James N. Mattis, Vice Admiral Robert S. Harward, Jr. and former President of Mexico Vicente Fox. Special guests will include Michael Thornton, retired Navy SEAL and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, and Johnny Walker, who guided and interpreted for US Navy SEALs on various missions in Iraq and will be on-hand to sign his new book “Code Name: Johnny Walker.” The gala will begin with a VIP reception from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., following by a Reception from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the dinner, speakers program and entertainment from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. There will be Live, Silent and Online auctions featuring once in a lifetime items and experiences.
