ExactechGPS: Guided Personalized Surgery Takes Main Stage Among Exactech’s Orthopaedic Innovations at AAOS 2014 Annual Meeting in New Orleans

Exactech, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXAC), a developer and producer of bone and joint restoration products for hip, knee, shoulder, spine and biologic materials, announced today its line up of products to be unveiled at the company’s newly designed educational exhibit, booth #2261, at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2014 Annual Meeting March 11 – 15 in New Orleans, LA.

Exactech Knee

Exactech celebrates 20 years of Exactech Knee, a system that has demonstrated performance over time with its proven design, proprietary materials and excellent long-term clinical results.1

The company commemorates this milestone with full market introduction of ExactechGPS® Guided Personalized Surgery, the first advanced surgical technology to provide a real-time patient-specific solution in total knee arthroplasty. With a touch screen in the sterile field, ExactechGPS puts real-time visual guidance and alignment data at the surgeon’s fingertips. Customized for surgeon preferences, ExactechGPS is a powerful addition to the surgical team in addressing their goals of efficacy, efficiency and economics.

The cornerstone of Exactech’s newly designed exhibit is a surgical skills demonstration area that will allow surgeons to gain hands-on experience with ExactechGPS and the Optetrak Logic® knee system.

Exactech Shoulder

Nine years of clinical use and 32 peer-reviewed studies demonstrate that Exactech had it “Right from the Start.” Now is the perfect time to learn more about the industry’s fastest growing shoulder system, Exactech’s Equinoxe® Platform Shoulder System. The Equinoxe System delivers innovative solutions to clinical challenges. Throughout the AAOS exhibit time, design team surgeons and key clinicians will be on hand to share their experiences and provide product and instrument demonstrations.

Be among the first to see the latest addition to the Equinoxe product family -- the new Resurfacing Humeral Head, which offers modularity, anatomic sizing and low profile instrumentation for cuff and anatomic preserving approaches in reverse shoulder surgeries.

Exactech Hip

The Exactech Hip portfolio expands its scope of solutions for primary hip reconstruction with introduction of LPI Prime. This femoral stem leverages the proven features of a conventional stem but is designed to preserve more bone.2 The LPI Prime system includes specialized instrumentation contained within one tray, designed for efficiency in any surgical approach.

Exactech Power Equipment

Exactech introduces an updated version of its AcuDriver®Automated Osteotome System, an air-driven impact handpiece with precision osteotomes in various sizes for use in revision surgeries. Live demonstrations available at the Exactech booth’s surgical skills laboratory.

Exactech Spacer

Exactech’s Interspace® bone cement spacer continues to be the most widely-studied antibiotic spacer technology in the world with a 96.1 percent eradication rate.3

Exactech Spine

Exactech Spine is among the fastest growing spine organizations, developing innovative spinal and orthobiologics solutions to restore spine health. New at AAOS is the AcapellaTM One Cervical Spacer System. Offered in a variety of heights, footprints, and lordotic angles to accommodate varying anatomical conditions, Acapella One features single-step implantation with an integrated locking mechanism. Additionally, with the introduction of the Gibralt® Occipital Plate to the Gibralt Spinal System, Exactech provides spinal fusion solutions for the full spine from the occiput, or the back portion of the skull, to the sacrum, the bone at the base of the spine.

Exactech Biologics

Exactech recognizes the growing importance of biologic solutions for orthopaedics. Come by the Exactech booth to learn about:

  • Optecure® bone matrix and the flexibility of combining with saline, blood, autogenous bone marrow and autologous bone graft.
  • Accelerate® Concentrating System: Designed for the safe and rapid preparation of autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP) from a small sample of blood at the patient’s point of care.
