Usability Matters surveyed for independent global overview of service design

Toronto, Canada – January 8 2014 – Usability Matters is proud to announce their participation in a survey for the December 2013 report entitled “Service Design Agency Overview, 2013″ by Forrester Research Inc.

“It’s such an honour to be surveyed. There are so few conversations about this critical subcategory of design, and we believe that Forrester Research has done a superb job of highlighting the importance of service design,” says Sarah English, co-founder and principal at Usability Matters.

Usability Matters’ twelve years in the business makes them one of the most experienced service design agencies in Canada: “We always knew our clients chose to work with us for our experience, we just didn’t realize how large the gap actually is.”

Even in an industry as young as service design, Usability Matters has worked to set themselves apart. “We specialize in talking to consumers, and learning about their experiences. Their insights are always better than our best guesses” Sarah states. Specialization in such an essential niche partially accounts for their diverse range of clients, with key verticals including the healthcare, education and the not-for-profit sector.

Usability Matters is a thought leader in the service design space, working to build a community as the primary sponsor of Service Design Toronto. “Europe has a strong service design community, with SDN headquartered in Germany. We’re working to build something like that here.”
