Load management, demand response systems for utilities to increase available electric capacity through reduced energy consumption during periods of peak energy demand . Markets itself as a 'clean energy alternative' but that is somewhat of a misnomer, because COMV is in the business of providing grid management & demand response systems . As a result of investments in Virtual Peaking Capacity (VPC) programs (see below), revenue from COMV's Alternative Energy Resources Group has represented an increasing percentage of total revenue, growing from 7% of total revenue for the year ended December 31, 2004 to 52% of total revenue for the year ended December 31, 2006.
